Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said Monday that President Barack Obama “would be impeached” if the nation falls into default.

“STOP talking about default,” he wrote on Twitter. “The 1st dime of each $1 of revenue services debt. Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments. C C & B!”

King is among the House Republicans who voted for the so-called “Cut, Cap and Balance” plan that would introduce a constitutional amendment to require a balanced budget. The Senate last week dismissed the House bill.

King isn’t the first Republican to suggest that Obama should be impeached over the debt crisis.

Rep. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) said earlier this month it would be “an impeachable offense” for Obama to raise the debt ceiling without congressional approval. In April, former Reagan administration official Bruce Fein drafted articles of impeachment in hopes that House Republicans would introduce them. And Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) in March said the air attacks on Libya are impeachable acts.

What happened to Abraham Lincoln within the formal impeachment processes and procedures? He performed his treacherous cunning at the beginning of his presidency, too. And not one "peep" from anyone.

You said: ANY president who wrecks this nation should be impeached.

I asked: What happened to Abraham Lincoln within the formal impeachment processes and procedures?

Without answering the question, you commented: President Lincoln was already F ing DEAD you vile piece of shit.

So, please explain how "being DEAD" exempted Abraham Lincoln from being impeached during his early years of presidential tenure. Thank you in advance.

In the real world you vile piece of shit.

No such charge was made other than by supporters an active violent rebellion, (Civil WAR/WAR between the States).

Lincoln was kind of busy fighting an actual WAR against the people who would make such a charge against him, you gibbering piece of shit.

But this isn't really about Lincoln is it you vile piece of shit?

LOL!

And YOU "think" that YOU are "bullet proof"/"immune"/"safe" eh fuckwad?

Lincoln should have been impeached when he suspended habeus corpus

Should ave, could ave, Should ave, could ave, Should ave, could ave, Should ave, could ave, ....

Really?

What good is habeus corpus if the NATION ceases to exist? Was the thinking at the time.

THEY didn't know who was going to WIN.

THEY were fighting for SURVIVAL.

Ever been to Arlington?

Ever seen how close it is to the capitol?

They weren't fighting just with mere words man, they were hand to hand cold steel to cold steel.

Only silly children complain about such HISTORICAL actions, those children can have no idea NOW what the people , the AMERICANS of then, were engaged in, which was a literal WAR for survival.

The DEAD have zero right to "habeus corpus", do they?

I see your point, it just seems absurd to me, given what was going on at that time.

It was just that suspension was the most glaring legal grounds after the failure of Lincoln and his henchmen to negotiate with the South.

There was no chance to 'impeach' Lincoln prior to the outbreak of the war unless the southern states had actually sent their representatives to the 1861 Congress.

The Confederacy had every right to exist and once the die was cast the USA ceased to exist for all time. The Federal Compact had been torn asunder and there was no chance to convince Salmon Chase and the rest of the financial elite of NY to stop their agression.

The Emancipation Proclamation was a sham. Didn't free slaves outside of the Confederacy.

There was a simpler path to restoration and that would have been for Lincoln to start serious talks and get his troops out of the souther harbors, etc.

This country would have been better off if the Confederates had won at Bull Run 1 and deposed the Emperor and hanged Chase & Stanton.

And, I am not a Yellow Dog.

It did? How about that idea. And what binds any state, today, to US federal laws as a method of loyalty? Some kind of binding eternal bond of love, signed sealed and delivered for say ... some Floridan named Goldi-Lox and her Alaskan gay boy, "yukon" approval?

Oh no, the centralized government that exists today in America is on a descent. It is being disseminated right before our eyes with more extreme members of Congress being elected that are placing a damper on the entire issue.

I love the gridlock in Congress right now. No more rubber-stamping.

I actually believe that the states of this Union do have the right to leave the Union if they so desire.

The feral gooberment is a creature of the states. After all the STATES voluntarily created the feral gooberment.

However being a student of human history and knowing where both the word and concept of "tyrant" come from I understand that the real world is not as simple as words on a piece of paper.

This is a world which is run on the use of FORCE. It always has been and it always will be.

There was no way to avoid the Civil WAR.

Two different cultures were trying to share the same land.

I'm not talking about slavery per se, it was already dying.

I'm talking agrarian rural as opposed to urban manufacturing.

All through out ALL of human history power of ALL kinds tends to concentrate.

Until it ALWAYS becomes tyranny.

No, the country and the world would certainly NOT have been better if the Confederacy had won.

Spare me the obvious history man, I know what the specific purpose and rationale for the emancipation was.

But I still believe that no nation based on slavery should exist on this planet. Especially the USA, which HAD had slavery under our banner for much longer than the Confederacy did btw.

That the seeds of our ultimate demise were sown then, (feral gooberment wise), I freely admit.

But, you cannot consider past times in the light of today's knowledge and moralities and understand them.

The USA was expanding, and two cultures that were pretty much mutually exclusive were trying to occupy the North American continent.

Something had to give, and it took about two or three generations for the violence to reach the crescendo of the actual main show, the Civil WAR.

After the UNION won, there were 150 years of America domination of the entire worlds economic system.

I find this sort of talk to be most useless.

After 150 years it IS what it IS.

Fuckeroo was just trying, (with quite good success), to deflect the subject of this thread.

No American President in ALL of OUR history has done so much to destroy and hurt this nation, our economy, and OUR people as this little failed man child messiah "king" obammy.

No sane or honest or serious person would ever compare President Lincoln with this little failed man child messiah "king" obammy.
