Amtrak, the government-run railroad is thanking high gasoline prices and airport security screening hassles for what could be its highest annual ridership in its 40-year history. The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) reports that Congress approved $1.56 billion in taxpayer funding for Amtrak in 2010. Amtrak Briefly:
Created by the Rail Passenger Service Act of 1970, Amtrak - the National Railroad Passenger Corporation -- is a for-profit corporation authorized to operate intercity passenger rail services in 46 States and the District of Columbia, in addition to serving as a contractor in various capacities for several commuter rail agencies. The 7 members of the Amtrak board of directors are appointed for 5-year terms by the President of the United States, with the approval of the Senate. Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood currently serves as a voting member of the board.

When one part is consistently mentioned in derogatory terms, like e.g. "the regime", and the other part is consistently mentioned in neutral or positive terms, like "the U.S. government", you know that you are dealing with war propaganda.
