Title: Palin Hints Again At Presidential Aspirations: ‘The Field Is Not Yet Set’

Former Alaska Gov. and newly minted documentary star Sarah Palin graces the cover of the most recent issue of Newsweek, and argues in the accompanying article that she could be a winning Republican candidate in the 2012 presidential race.

"I believe that I can win a national election," Palin told Newsweek's Peter Boyer. “The people of America are desperate for positive change, and deserving of positive change, to get us off of this wrong track. I’m not so egotistical as to believe that it has to be me, or it can only be me, to turn things around. But I do believe that I can win.”

In fact, in addition to the assertions Palin makes in the Newsweek feature, some wonder about other statements she has made and whether she is hinting that she will run. Politico's Jonathan Martin pointed out a Facebook post in which Palin calls for "a strong chief executive [who] has been entrusted with real authority in the past and has achieved a proven track record of positive measurable accomplishments."

Indeed in the Newsweek article, she didn't shy away from the already crowded GOP field for 2012, suggesting there would be room for more.

"Thank goodness the field is not yet set," Palin said. "I think that there does need to be more vigorous debate. There needs to be a larger field. And there’s still time. There’s still months ahead, where more folks can jump in and start articulating their positions.”

Palin's daughter Bristol had said, while on her book tour, that her mother had already decided whether she would run for president. Palin, however, denied that and said that Bristol wanted her to run, but that she herself had not yet made a decision. Subscribe to *Sarah Palin 2012*

Best laugh of the day, so far.

What Sarah wants is to be chosen by acclimation. That way she doesn't have to do any hard work.

BTW, has she finished her jury duty yet, or was just another lie from the Quitta from Wasilla?

Your resume' isn't anywhere near as meaningful as Palin's, skippy.

As we both know.

Palin's resume shows she can't keep a job.

Unlike you obama-bots who live on promoting class warfare, I believe a person's wages solely depend on what the market will bear.

Period.

Actually the class warfare is currently coming from the undeserving rich.

And what market are you talking about? That so called 'free thing' that no one here can define?

DING! DING! DING! DING! Give the lady a cookie! You're right - the undeserving rich. Reid. Pelosi. Obama. Jackson. Sharpton.
And what market are you talking about? That so called 'free thing' that no one here can define?
No, babe - you can remove your tinfoil hat now. It's really simple:

The market that says an employee is "worth" whatever an employer is willing to pay. Is it fair? Hell, no. And it shouldn't be.

If a teacher with a PhD can only get 20K per year, then so be it. They should be smart enough to find another line of work that pays better.

And if a dolt with an IQ of 80 (but can run the length of a football field in 3 seconds flat) can make 20 million per year, then good for him.

See how it works?

Sounds like you are okay with the Federal and various State employee systems since it involves what an employer is willing to offer in pay and benefits.

Who employs Federal and various state employees?

The voters. Who vote for persons either directly or by party to select people to admiminister the systems. It's another part of that representative form of government that your type seems to have a disdain for.

To condescending propagandists like yourself no doubt. But sorry it's only those taxpayers who vote. There are lots of countries that allow their taxpaying citizens no participation in how things are run.

Wow, sweetie! You're on a roll!

We're kinda getting there, aren't we? IIRC, most "taxpaying citizens" wanted no part of your messiah's obammy care. Yet - strangely enough - we have it!

Neat, huh?

Actually almost all citizens old enough to buy out of a quarter machine pay taxes in one form or another. Please let us know what if the founders determined that citizen voters paying one form had more rights than citizen voters paying in other forms.

I don't think you want to bring the founders into this discussion, darlin'.

They wanted only white male property owners to vote.

Wow - you've made three intelligent observations today. There IS hope.

Now that you've conceded that it's the TAXPAYERS (not the voters) who employ state and federal workers, I'll point out that it's not inconsistent to say that as their employers, taxpayers can and should say "enough is enough".

Long live Gov. Walker!
