A bill requiring California schools to teach gay history is headed for Gov. Jerry Brown's desk after passing the state Assembly. The bill, SB48, would make California the first state in the union to require history classes and textbooks to include the contributions of gay and lesbian Americans, reports the Los Angeles Times. The governor, who hasn't taken a public position on the bill, has 12 days to sign or veto it; Arnold Schwarzenegger rejected a similar bill in 2006. The bill would require schools to "present a more accurate and nuanced view of American history in our social science curriculum by recognizing the accomplishments of groups that are not often recognized," said Joan Perez, the first openly gay speaker of the California Assembly. The bill's Republican opponents accuse its authors of trying to promote a "homosexual agenda" in California schools. Gee, I wonder if this 'gay history' will include then Mayor Feinstein's decision to NOT close the gay bath houses which led to literally thousands, if not tens of thousands of deaths due to the AIDS virus? She decided the political ramifications that would result if she followed the CDC's recommendation outweighed the huge loss of life, folks.

Close, but no cigar. At the very core of it,it is about division of the country. Instead of "out of many,one",the goal is to have the country dissolve into anarchy and "out of one,many". You can't create a new culture without destroying the existing one. The whole left-wing fascist philosophy revolves around destroying any sense of unity that makes us all "fellow Americans" and have us divided into hundreds of groups of special interest individuals. THAT's how you destroy a society. It's NOT that they love homosexuals,blacks,illegal aliens,or any other special interest group they promote,it's that they hate America and what she stands for. Namely individual freedoms with the state in the role of the servant instead of the master.

And that's the crux of the problem. The media drums the two party division nonsense to the point most people can't see the forest for the trees. Throwing out the television and radio and cancelling subscriptions would go a long way toward recuperating lost thinking ability in this country.
