Here are further highlights from the police log of the Unalaska Department of Public Safety. Read more from the log via the Unalaska Advertiser. Assault -- A drunk at the Harbor View Bar grabbed the buttocks of a man he mistook for someone else and when the butt-grabber offered to make amends by buying the grabbee a drink, the grabbee insisted he instead be paid $20 for the offense. A third person, attempting to intervene in the ensuing argument, was struck by the grabbee in the face and received a broken nose for his trouble. The third person pushed the grabbee to the ground, whereupon [the grabbee] began banging his head on a parking lot stop block in order to obtain some injuries to show police. No charges were filed. Ambulance Request -- EMS personnel provided medical care and transport for a drunk who had flung his head against a parking lot stop block after being knocked to the ground by a man whose nose he had just broken. Drunk Disturbance -- Officers responded to the Airport Bar regarding a drunken woman who had entered the bar and proceeded to hit patrons within. The woman fled to another bar where she repeated her behavior with patrons there as well. Assault -- Two men new to the community were welcomed with thumps and slaps to the head by an angry woman wandering drunkenly from bar to bar. Officers who were called to the scene were kicked and spat upon by the woman while she unleashed a stream of vituperative comments. Savannah Kochuten, 35 yoa, of Unalaska, was charged with two counts of Assault IV and two counts of Harassment I. Trespass -- Officer issued a trespass advisement, per bar management, to a drunken patron who had been slapped in the face after he grabbed a woman's buttocks.

LOL! Well it was in the Anchorage Daily Worker AND I had been cleaning out a room to plumb it and found some stuff from a contract I did out there and had been thinking about Dutch anyway. I found it beyond funny that there is even a thing called the Unalaska police blotter! Town got WAY too civilized for me. Hell I got arrested right off the working deck out at Delta Western where we were working gear because some suit didn't like us blasting while we worked at whatever o'clock it was was. Like we always did. THAT was over twenty five years ago. We used to say that Dutch is not the end of the world. BUT you can see it from there, (weather permitting of course). You know, "old school" Alaska. I've fished ALL Alaskan commercial targeted fin and shell fish, and all gear types, except purse seine (I never could score THAT pay day), in ALL Alaskan waters from Norton Sound and Nome to the western line on the Slime Banks, and south to Seattle even. Heck I've even been lucky enough to get to drift the lower and middle Kuskokwim, based out of Bethel! Guess I just got sentimental hearing about how, no matter what the suits do, it takes a certain sort of person to work the fish. IMO MOST of these gibbering libTURD bitches that infest this site wouldn't last one trip, of ANY sort. Get filthy? Work like a dog? Risk your life and body and maybe hit the highline or pull water? Make some money? Owe some money? SPEND money like it was water, FORCE yourself to have to go back to the money. Pull the big handle. Take the chance. Win or Lose, live or die; come back or don't come back; pull water or get plugged; skate or get squashed, find de fish, get de fish, process the fish, find a market, sell de fish, get yer settlement checks, checks clear? checks don't clear? . LOL! I've been lucky enough to be able to do alot, but certainly not "all" by any means. For instance, I've never fished in flip flops and shorts, (ALL of my commercial fishing experience in in Alaskan waters). But ... you sure are correct. The "trick" is to stay alive until #5! LOL!
