Lemee try again. They can report a "news event" any way they want to, and that's fine by me. They can use the reason that, "folks see the same event differently". And everyone knows they "interpret" (spin) the facts to fit their agenda. And that is what buckeroo was talking about. They can "interpret" the facts, but they shouldn't CHANGE the facts to fit their interpretation. That's what I was talking about. But the Pledge is what it is. It is a fact. It is what it is NOW. They have CHANGED fact to fit their position. And it was no oversight. It was done not once but TWICE during their presentation. It was deliberate. They can argue all day long whether or not the 2nd Amendment pertains to a militia or to the individual, BUT THEY CANNOT CHANGE THE WORDING OF THE 2ND AMENDMENT to support their argument. Suppose they had children recite the 2nd Amendment as follows: A well regulated Militia,(break to show Marines raising the flag) being necessary to the security of a free State, (break to show F-16s passing overhead) the right (break to show soldiers saluting the flag)to keep and bear Arms,(break to show whatever) shall not be infringed. (Show large American flag waving in the breeze as patriotic music swells to a climax) The omission of the phrase "of the people" would be no different than omitting the phrase "under God, indivisible".
