Soon-to-be-former Fox News host Glenn Beck is in the process of planning his upcoming rally in Israel, and according to one report, the guest list will be an unholy mash-up of conservative notables. The August 24 rally "to restore courage" (sequel to last summer's "rally to restore honor" Beck threw in Washington, D.C.) will be held at Teddy Stadium and in Jerusalem's Old City simultaneously, and boldface names such as Sarah Palin, Joe Lieberman, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, Mike Huckabee and Michele Bachmann are slated to attend, according to a report from ynetnews.com.
However, spokespeople for the politicians have largely said that there are currently no plans for them to attend the rally. Romney, Huckabee and Gingrich all said through spokespeople shortly after the Wednesday yNet release that they will not be attending the rally.
Huffington Post contacted a spokesperson for the rally, who said there had been miscommunications.
"There have been some inaccuracies about the event," the spokesperson said. "No one on the list below has been contacted or asked to appear. Senator Lieberman said he supports the event and if his schedule allows will be a guest at the event."
GOP presidential Herman Cain, however, told Beck on-air last week that he was planning to attend.
