I ask politely, and with sincerity, what is the obsession with Sarah Palin? Her political views are the exact opposite of mine, and I find a lot of what she says objectionable, but at the end of the day she is a minor political figure with no real chance of wielding power. The fact that she has become a kind of 'bogeyman' for her political opponents says more about them than her. With so many serious events taking place in the world right now - the Middle East, the financial crisis - this stuff, not to mention the Wiener stuff too, just feels a bit 'National Enquirer'. I'm glad the media is so worked up over this civic good work they are farming out their spill-over to the Limey press to turn up something in the email of an out of work politician. Is this tacit admission they have nothing on this woman that they have to sift through probably illegally acquired email for something to take out of context?
