In an interview Wednesday with CBS News, Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain described homosexuality as “a sin” and “a choice.” Appearing on the CBS News web program Washington Unplugged, Cain told CBSNews.com senior political reporter Brian Montopoli “I believe homosexuality is a sin because I’m a Bible-believing Christian, I believe it’s a sin,” he said. “But I know that some people make that choice. That’s their choice.” Montopoli followed up, asking Cain if he thought gays and lesbians were making “a choice” to be homosexual: Cain was asked: “So you believe it’s a choice?” “I believe it is a choice,” he responded.

Cain is a lot like Ron Paul, ask them a question and you get a truthful answer. Independents will like that, but neocons/neolibs not so much.
Indpendents favor gay rights and "marriage".
There's no indication that he wants government to force people to stop sinning. Authoritarianism is a liberal trait.
This guy is a liberal? "He concluded his talk by saying “I want to see Christians take over the Democrat Party, I want to see Christians take over the Republican Party, I want to have a fight for who has the more Biblical candidate.” Barton, a proponent of Seven Mountains Dominionism, called on people “to move the most Godly candidate through” both parties:

I didn't say it was liberal. I said it was authoritarian because he's calling for only super christians to run in both parties. Give me a solid atheist over a religious nutcase any day.
