Since the nationalist grass-roots tea party movement began in 2009, the left-wing media in America, and abroad, have succeeded wildly in misbranding their stated goals of holding out-of-control spending and taxation in check, holding government accountable to its citizens, and reminding us all that our Constitution contains laws that various levels of government today appear to interpret at will. Instead, tea party supporters are vilified by the mainstream media as ---- select any ---- greedy, corporate, religious, capitalist, anti-immigrant, anti-worker, homophobic, Islamophobic and racist, as evidenced by virulent op-ed columns following any tea party protest, whether at Temecula's Duck Pond Park or anywhere in the country.
And yet, nary a printed word or photo appeared to showcase to the world the thousands of American communist supporters ---- many masked ---- who marched through the downtown streets of Los Angeles on May Day carrying signs that read, "From Wisconsin to Libya, Workers of the World Unite! Fight for Communism!" and "Mobilize the Masses for Communism."
Co-sponsored by the Service Employees International Union, marchers carried red communist flags and chanted "Smash Capitalism," and "Legalization or Revolution," in support of amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Marching hand-in-hand and sign-with-sign with the SEIU activists, and communist supporters, were several public school teacher unions with hundreds of members, many of whom brought their children and students for a real-life lesson in communist indoctrination and good old U.S. of A.-bashing.
Interestingly, the SEIU contributed almost $28 million to get Barack Obama elected in 2008, and (now former) SEIU President Andy Stern happens to be the most oft-visiting individual ---- with more than 50 visits ---- to the White House since Obama's coronation.
