Title: And Bush Was Supposed To Be The Idiot?

President Obama has been on a weeklong trip to Europe, ahead of the G8 meeting. In 2008, Obama The Messiah spoke to throngs in Berlin. In 2011, Obama The Mortal showed up in Dublin and London.

Some of my favorite highlights from the Bama's trip so far:

His presidential limo, nicknamed "The Beast," got stuck on a ramp in Dublin. It's supposed to withstand a terrorist or nuclear attack, but an exit ramp? Not so much. If Bush's limo had bottomed out while abroad, David Letterman would have a yearlong field day.

Michelle Obama got caught in the wind, which blew her hair up into something resembling Ed Grimley ("I must say!") or Cameron Diaz's character in "There's Something About Mary."

The Bama went to a pub, swilled some Guinness, and made what reporters called "an Irish face." I'm Irish. I have no idea what that is.

He then moved on to London, where he played ping-pong with British Prime Minister David Cameron. No word if beer was involved.

He screwed up his toast to Queen Elizabeth. (Hey Liz: that's still better than that God-awful iPod loaded with his own speeches that he gave you last time, isn't it?)

And he signed the guestbook at Westminster Abbey, "Barack Obama, 24 May 2008." 2008? That's like saying the U.S. has 57 states. Oh wait, he already did that... It seems it's time for the Bama's "handlers" to replace his batteries.

An interesting aside: the Left was aghast that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke forthrightly to Obama in the Oval Office last week. How dare he defend his nation to Obama's face?! The horror!

Meanwhile, they all laughed when an Iraqi journalist threw his shoe at President Bush.

All of this goes to show that Obama is neither a myth nor a legend. He's just a man, who has cut an incredibly destructive path through the American economy. He is not the Obama of Berlin 2008. (Even HE wasn't the Obama of 2008.) He is the Obama of the blown toast to the Queen and the wrong date by three years.

Obama is often a doofus, but according to the Left-wing media, President Bush, Governor Palin and other conservatives are the only doofi out there. We know better. And we actually know what year it is.

No, get it straight. Bush is Satan.

Meanwhile, there are a bunch of loons on another thread who worship such a loser that they wish Bush and Cheney were still in office.

Are you shitting me? I am profoundly glad he is no longer POTUS and I want him to be tried in the Hague for war crimes.

The fact we have adults in charge at the White House after that horrible travesty of a presidency is a sidenote to all this.

Would those be the same war crimes that are continuing and even being extended (Libya) under the current Administration?

Oh yeah, I forgot. War crimes are hunky dory - as long as they are being committed by a dem.

Actually, this is not so. It's been a very good trip for the President. A protocol slip like this happens. I notice the President took the Queen's cue to put his drink down and wait and her Majesty did not do anything more than thank him for his kind remarks.

Now, the fucking up of the Oath of Office by the Chief Justice of the United States at President Obama's Inauguration, now, that was world class stupid.

The only thing with this humorous spin Gnuboie is working is Bush has a Presidential Library grade size mass of documentation for really fucked up bloopers and missteps as he flubbed his way through the presidency.

Frankly, if the boy was smart, he would of just hushed about the protocol flub. But as Bush is someone Gnu gets sweaty over, of course he couldn't resist trying to make hay here.

I don't see any boots on the ground and a whole lot more coordination with NATO in these bombardment actions in Libya. I don't consider this a 'war crime' like Lyndon Johnson is guilty of in the conduct of his illegal and immoral escalation of the failed war in Indochina.

Say, he was a Democratic POTUS and I protested him as a youth, imagine that.

Of course back then, I was a Republican too, not a Green as I am registered as now.

I left the Democratic Party during Clinton's administration because I can't stand him.

Now, you were saying....?

No boots on the ground? I hear there's a bridge in Brooklyn that's for sale.

So tell me - which "war crime" that Bush started has ceased under Obama? What you fail to see - because of your blind hatred for Bush - is that at the end of the day, Obama answers to the same masters as Bush did.

Say, he was a Democratic POTUS and I protested him as a youth, imagine that.
I didn't think you were that old. I'm 58, and I was 16 when LBJ left office.

Of course back then, I was a Republican too, not a Green as I am registered as now.

I've got you beat - I was a republican who left after GHW Bush broke his "no new tax" pledge.

So the dem party isn't left enough for you, just as the GOP isn't right enough for me. Interesting. There may be issues we agree on. Iraq, for instance.

"There may be issues we agree on. Iraq, for instance."

We do. Iraq was an illegal and immoral war as Vietnam was.

I was going to stay in after I returned to the U.S. Army in the 1980s, but after operation 'Just Because'.... errr....I mean 'Just Cause' in Panama showed me graphically that then President GHW Bush was a thug and war racketeer , I got out.

And I'm glad I did.

As you are from New York, I'll also mention I am born and raised in Connecticut on the Shoreline between Old Saybrook and New Haven in a little township named Clinton.

How is that for irony considering I am no Bill fan.

I may be from New York, but I have two favorite baseball teams:

The Red Sox, and whatever team is playing the Yankees. . . .

Anyone who says that is OK in my book. I plan on going to some games this season while I'm back there. It's been too long since I've been there.

Whenever I'm in Boston I vist my favorite ship, the U.S.S. Constitution first, then I head to Fenway. In that way, I am a creature of habit.
