Actually, I have seen surprising acts of kindness and in support of individual rights in unlikely places.
I was at a party my neighbor had in Fayetteville, N.C. which was mostly comprised of gay men, and the couple giving the party were both male.
The two straight servicemen who started the problems went to jail for assault and theft of items from my Neighbor's apartment.
They kept frantically telling the Fayetteville Police, "These guys are [F words]." The police responded essentially, "So?" and informed them they were interested in the crimes the two men were perpetrating, not someone's private business concerning their relationships with others.
I even went so far as to give the Commander of these guy's unit a statement, and both were burned in a legal action by this unit, one of the men losing a grade of rank in the process.

The word is "faggot". It won't hurt you to say it,and a thunderbolt won't come out of the clear sky and strike you dead for saying it. It is a actual word in the English language,and it is more accurate description of homosexuals than the label "gay". All it implies is that they are flamers. The word "gay" tries to imply being a homosexual is a "happy thing" and NOT being a homosexual is a "bad and sad thing".

You are COMPLETELY lacking in understanding of not only the living conditions of combat units,but are also blind to the obvious fact that this is nothing more than the PC camels nose under the tent. These people have an agenda,and it's not to protect the country. Their agenda is to creating more AA jobs and promotions for minorities and women,and to hell with the effectiveness of the military.
