Rudy Giuliani is "very close to saying he's going to run" in 2012, according to Rep. Peter King. "If he were to make the decision today, he would run," said King, a friend of Giuliani and supporter of his campaign in 2008. King's comments came during a dinner with reporters in Washington Monday, and were reported by the Washington Examiner. The former New York mayor has been contemplating a presidential run in 2012 for some time. During his 2008 run, Giuliani’s campaign collapsed early, and he bowed out after he finished third in the Florida primary. But recent polls show there is still some appetite for him to consider the race. In the most recent survey of New Hampshire voters, by WMUR and CNN, Giuliani tied for third place.

That's one of the few things going for Rudy, he did a great job with that humorous cabaret gig. It's his immigration and abortion stands that are going to hurt him. Nothing else will kill a presidential bid by him except exactly what killed it in 2008.
