The supermodel appeared in a fund-raising video for the former Massachusetts governor at his national 'call day' in Las Vegas yesterday. Crawford, 45, is reported to be friends with one of the Mr Romney's sons, and helped the presidential candidate as the Romney for President Exploratory Committee raised $10.25 million in one day. Mr Romney's prospects may have gotten a boost in recent days after two other high-profile Republicans - former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee and businessman Donald Trump - said they would not run in 2012. That narrows the field of potential challengers to Democratic President Obama's bid for re-election. The President himself is believed to be capable of raising a billion dollars for his re-election campaign. But if Mr Romney's fund-raising success continues, he will give Mr Obama a run for his money in more ways than one. The President tried to fire up supporters last night, saying failure to get everything they want as fast as they want should motivate and not dissuade them. Liberals and other key Obama supporters have voiced frustration with the President on a number of issues, from his compromise with Republicans on tax cuts to failure to deliver a promised overhaul of the immigration system.

So, a Hollywood airhead shifts her support from a failed liberal president to a failed liberal governor. How does this brighten up the campaign???
