United States News Title: There is no Debate over Waterboarding Once again, the liberal media is trying to convince America that there is actually a debate over waterboarding. I will reiterate that there is none. Americans were saved from a 9/11 style attack in Los Angeles because the CIA waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Muhammed, and Osama bin Laden never would have been caught if terror suspects hadnt been waterboarded. Case closed. While it may be true that many suspects offer up information under different techniques, many of the techniques are just as brutal as waterboarding. At the end of the day, there are several ways to get information from suspects, but suspects are all different, and they all respond differently to techniques. At the end of the day, the CIA needs all of the techniques under the sun in its arsenal. When one thing isnt working, they need to use something else. I believe that it is pretty straightforward. For instance-we are now learning that al Qaeda was planning an attack on trains within American borders. Such an attack I assume could have killed dozens of people. Wouldnt it be worth it to waterboard a suspect in order to catch Osama bin Laden so that we could stop this attack? Would a person who is potentially going to be killed in one of these terror attacks really prefer that we go easy on terrorists, and then let themselves get killed? Is there seriously anyone out there arguing the contrary? It is interesting because this debate is playing out in real time. As this goes to press May 7, 2011, are there liberals out there who are opposed to using waterboarding right now? What if bin Ladens plans of attacking trains are going into effect as we speak? What if al Qaeda is a chicken with its head cut off, and the gears of the plan are grinding forward without bin Laden, and the attack will be pulled off June 1st if we dont uncover some information by waterboarding a terrorist suspect? I leave the choice up to liberals in this hypothetical (or maybe not so hypothetical) situation. Waterboarded terrorists, or dead Americans? If they have some solution that avoids both, I seriously am all ears. In my mind and in the minds of many Americans, the debate over waterboarding is over. There are more important social issues that need to be addressed. As soon as all of these militant extremists agree to peace with America, then Ill be ok with retiring the waterboarding technique. A major question we need to be considering is the fact that it is looking like there were al Qaeda members scattered all over Pakistan, thus there is collusion between Pakistan and al Qaeda. Let us also not forget that Pakistan is a nuclear armed nation. Indeed, we have bigger fish to fry than worrying about waterboarding terrorists.
