There's a difference between misspeaking, as Obama has done in the above, and being stupid and only the stupid can't tell the difference. For further illustration of my point about not being able to tell the difference please refer to both the article and the first response

One thing I've learned from watching you folks going back to Nixon. You LOVE and LIVE FOR the politics of personal destruction. Never so more evident this past week. It must be nice for you, in your lifetime, to have never misspoke.
