An Army doctor who refused to deploy to Afghanistan because he questioned President Obama's citizenship has been sentenced to six months in a military prison and dismissed from the service. A military jury spent nearly five hours deciding the sentence for Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin. Obama was born Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. From The Associated Press: Lakin was convicted of disobeying orders -- he had pleaded guilty to that count -- and missing a flight that would have gotten him to his eventual deployment. An army commander, Maj. Gen. Karl Horst, still has to approve the sentence returned by the jury and has the option to reduce it. Lakin could then appeal. In online videos posted on YouTube, Lakin aligned himself with the so-called "birther" movement that questions whether Obama is a natural-born citizen, as the Constitution requires for presidents, and said he was inviting his own court martial. But Lakin said Wednesday that despite his questions about Obama's eligibility for office, he was wrong not to follow Army orders. He acknowledged that the Army was the wrong place to raise his concerns about Obama, asked to keep his job and said he was now willing to deploy. "I don't want it to end this way," Lakin told the jury Wednesday under questioning from his lawyer. "I want to continue to serve." (Posted by David Jackson)

I hadn't noticed before, but this is a really old article. In fact Lakin has been in prison for five months and is set to be released this month. Maybe he can get a job at World Nut Daily as Corsi's butt boy. He's certain to land a gig at Fox News as a military analyst/birth certificate expert.
Why would he do that? Lakin is board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine as well as Family Medicine. He is also a certified Medical Examiner. He holds medical licenses in Maryland and Colorado and is qualified to hold a medical license in any state he decides to live in. He will walk out of prison and into a six figure position as a medical doctor.
How so? He is going to be dishonorably discharged and have the equivalent of a felony on his record.
And? Being convicted of a felony does not automatically mean a revocation of your medical license. It depends on what the felony is. His license in the state of Colorado has not been revoked. It expires at the end of May though. They may choose not to renew it, but according to the Statutes of Colorado Lakin has done nothing to deserve having his license revoked. Pissing off the partisans on the Democan side of the two party fraud does not count. Feel free to look for yourself though. I may have missed something. Also, his license in Maryland has not been suspended and is good until 09/30/2012. The fact that Lakin has been a medical doctor for more than 20 years in conjunction with the shortage of doctors in the field of primary care guarantees that he will walk into a job as a medical doctor somewhere.

This is fantastick news! This means that Lakin can easily pick up a frying pan spatula at a local Mickey Ds and become "the chef" as a certified hamburger flipper without much compromise. All good news for a RAT that turned his own back on the American People for notoriety about a Internet CT. I pray he doesn't use too much salt on those burger patties while flippin' 'em though; McDonald's does have specific guidelines and rules to follow otherwise he will be relieved of duty again. As God is my witness, too much sodium is not very healthy for young and old alike.
Possibly...it does, however, make procuring insurance or getting bonded something of an issue.
