And btw, consider yourself invited to the Speakeasy. We've got a lot of old time paleoconservatives and freepers there, like OWK, Thought Criminal and Polinchello. Drop in and re-introduce yourself.
Thanks for the invitation, but I think I'll pass... I lurked and snooped around a little, and SE appears to have somehow evolved from John Deere's Liberty Forum. That place was always way too vulgar, harsh and crude for my tastes... I haven't been there for at least 5~6 years. So what happened? Did they have some kind of big meltdown?

LF is still kicking bigtime, but there has been so many scandals involving child porn, rogue moderators, and coups that there are hardly any libertarians on the board. The Islamists are the most vocal party there, nowadays.
Speakeasy is an amalagation of posters from Original Dissent, LF, and Thought Criminal's old forum, the phora.

Thanks for the background info... it is helpful for trying to keep track of who's who. I'll add it to my bookmarked forums where I occasionally surf/lurk for gossip. But as far as actually signing up and participating... Well... I'm afraid that I'm just an old fart with bifocals... In general, the forums that use that particular software package are just a bit too awkward for me -- too many bells and whistles. The simpler interface style of FR/LP/FU/4um/LF etc. is more to my likeing.
