I had been online for about 8 years before mel contacted me to befriend me- and I had never been stalked before I *met* her.
I estimate that mel has at least 40 screen names at LP. It sounds nuts, but I have started to keep a mental list, of sorts, of posters who come flying out at me from nowhere, with vicious- complex personal attacks.

The divisions of personal opinions have reached so much diversity and fracturing and splitting that the fundamentals supporting respective opinions about the world around us are irrelevant. It is the "opinion" that matters any more; not the facts supporting the opinions. Everyone of us is victim to this issue; we seek support in "opinion" from each other not the understanding of "facts" and as a result you see all these websites springing up.
We can't keep splitting up, either. We need to coalesce in a way that respects a basic framework of communication from each other.
