Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer on Monday vetoed a bill to require President Barack Obama and other presidential candidates to prove their U.S. citizenship before their names can appear on the state's ballot. The bill vetoed by Brewer on Monday would have made Arizona the first state to pass such a requirement. The Arizona bill included proof-of-qualification for all candidates appearing on Arizona ballots, with those varying by the office sought. Hawaii officials have certified Obama was born in that state, but so-called "birthers" have demanded more proof. Brewer said in her veto letter that she was troubled that the bill empowered Arizona's secretary of state to judge the qualifications of all candidates when they file to run for office. "I do not support designating one person as the gatekeeper to the ballot for a candidate, which could lead to arbitrary or politically motivated decisions," said Brewer, who was secretary of state until she became governor in 2009. "In addition, I never imagined being presented with a bill that could require candidates for president of the greatest and most powerful nation on Earth to submit their early baptismal circumcision certificates' among other records to the Arizona secretary of state," she said. "This is a bridge too far." The certificates are among the documents a candidate could submit in place of a birth certificate.

The child is a natural born citizen because of the langugage contained in this law: note the requirement that only one parent need be a citizen.

I have to keep reminding myself that you people really ARE that bleeping stupid. Here is a hot tip for you,Buckwheat. You get this paperwork when you are born. Both the hospital and the state get a copy of the birth certificate. I never even saw my birth certificate until I was 17 and needed it to join the army. Now,I know that a Private E-1 is a MUCH more demanding and higher order of work than that of a mere President,but if I had to produce mine just to enlist in the army,why is it asking too much to have Barry Soetoro produce his before he is sworn in as president? After all,all you or anyone else who is a citizen has to do to "gather the paperwork" is to send a letter to the hospital or to the state to request a certified copy of your birth certificate,and they will mail you one. Now,I realize you probably think that is something really hard to do,but it's not.

Don't forget the truly ironic part of this. The Dims wanted John McLunatic to prove HE was qualified to run for office because he was born in Panama. He had no trouble at all providing his birth certificate,and shutting them up. Seems like almost everybody has forgotten about this. They do call it a birth certificate. If you go the Hawaii website where you can order the birth certificate they call it a birth certificate. If you go to the Stste Department website for ordering a passport it states quite clearly that what Obama has is a legitimate document.

They do call it a birth certificate. If you go the Hawaii website .where you can order the birth certificate they call it a birth certificate. Then why doesn't the acting president go to that web site and order his instead of that lame-ass COLB his people produced?
