Wouldn't an e mail to a non existing account show up in the sender's e mail account as a bounce?

If it did and yukon does not see a failed delivery message after he sent that E mail to your closed e mail account, he at best is not too observant, at worse he's lying about sending it.

Neil asked to close it because it was being spammed. Then it made his servers get a bad rap. That is why i don't publicize the email to much.
Aside from this relatively minor question, it would be nice if you had an ad hom policy that kept people out of soap opera land and kept the discussions going. This place is boring when it turns into a rendition of Beavis and Butthead. It's your forum and your call. But to get anywhere with this plae in a constructive way, you are going to have to do something. Something consistent, and fair to everybody.

But what good is that thread trying to reach out to whack White Sands? It is just a continuation of the problem of promoting squabbling and fighting between people that shuts discussion down. If if were my forum ,I would not worry about what words people use. I would give someone three warnings about thread stalking ,and then put their favorite screen name on time out. Thread stalking is what is really going to ruin the fun and peace of a site, and thread stalking is pretty obvious and simple to enforce.

And from my perspective Stone is like the parent trying so hard for the fun of being his 'kid's' friend, he shuns the work of making it grow right and flourish. On Time.Com/Politics we called a thread starter a 'thread parent' to instill some sense of obligation to nurture a good thread taking off. He needs to have rules and standards everyone has to follow, he need to be a good forum parent. I have written him before at length giving him my feed back on what I see work or not work in forums, but really; he is the one who has to stand up and say, "enough" and look to people like McIver and others for feedback on how to make this place run fairly and be a place fun to engage in lively debate and discussion in. With all due respect Stone, you have to ditch some of the ego and admit you need feedback and the help of others to make this place flourish. You don't necessarily need it from me or any other one person, but you are continually trying to do the same thing hoping for different results every time you do so. That is just insane. With all due respect. I know I don't like coming here to focus wrath of hatred on anyone, especially those with whom I do not agree with politically or share a world view with. It would be nice to have a level playing field where articles and pieces are posted properly and when a discussion does not form agreement, people agree to disagree and can conclude a thread though things morphing into strange revenge attempts and grudge matches. Just my take on it. You have many people here with a great deal of posting experience, and you should respect them enough to promote consistency and fairness in how this place runs.
