Title: Mr. President: Why Medicare Isn’t the Problem, It’s the Solution

The real problem is the soaring costs of health care that lie beneath Medicare. They’re costs all of us are bearing in the form of soaring premiums, co-payments, and deductibles.

Americans spend more on health care per person than any other advanced nation and get less for our money. Yearly public and private healthcare spending is $7,538 per person. That’s almost two and a half times the average of other advanced nations.

Yet the typical American lives 77.9 years – less than the average 79.4 years in other advanced nations. And we have the highest rate of infant mortality of all advanced nations.

Medical costs are soaring because our health-care system is totally screwed up. Doctors and hospitals have every incentive to spend on unnecessary tests, drugs, and procedures.

The typical American is a fatass couch potato who eats too many fast foods, drinks too much of the wrong thing and doesn't get enough exercise.

Infant mortality is directly related to illicit drug use, STDs, unfit mothers and ignorance

DITTO!!! I've seen enough of that in my lifetime to know it's true, and it just keeps passing from generation, to generation...

The only way to stop it is to stop funding welfare queens.

It's just picking one person's pocket to support another too lazy to do anything but bare babies they can't afford!

They'll keep scamming the system as long as there is easy money.

And there will always be easy money as long as taxpayer tolerate this, it's usually when the taxpayer needs help themselves that they discover what their money actually supports, and it's not them.

Let me get this straight; our infant mortality rate is the worst among first world countries not because our health care system fails, but because mothers are ignorant, use drugs, and have sexually transmitted diseases, and the only way to bring down infant mortality is to stop funding "welfare queens" (whatever that means) - is that correct?

If your theory were correct, then those other first world countries with universal health care, socialist education for the masses, and disincentives to work should produce more ignorant welfare queens and higher infant death rates than the US, not less.

You have the courage to tell the masses what no politician told them: you are inferior and all the improvements in your conditions which you simply take for granted you owe to the efforts of men who are better than you. Ludwig von Mises in a letter to Ayn Rand

What other first world country has an illegal immigration problem like the US? What other first world country is flooded with illiterates like the US? Try to look at the entire picture for a change, lucy.
