To: etraveler13 Israel may have only given Hezzbolah time to rearm itself, if in fact that is the case, and Hamas or Hezzbolah, or Iran , or Syria attack Israel, diplomacy will go out the window, and annihilation will follow, they will not get a second chance to declare victory.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah is busy handing out $100 bills to the displaced in Lebanon, building recruits, and solidifying its place in Lebanon's political realm. And, oh BTW, the kidnapped soldiers who sparked Israel's reaction remained kidnapped and probably, by now, dead. Every military and political pundit this side of the beltway is terming Israel's defense of its territory a "disaster" and all one hears is a resounding call of anger from the IDF soldiers who were held back and demands of Prime Minster Olmert's and his defense chief's ouster...while Bush goes on with painfully long "UH-h-h-hs" and "Ahh-h-h-hs" in trying to explain what happened.

"I guess I would have done the same thing if I were them..."
Why even make that statement? Sometimes I wonder about the President, whom I generally support.
