Affray is a misdemeanor that involves disorderly conduct by fighting in a public place, according to a news release. The penalty for the charge is 30 to 60 days in jail, but first time offense must be placed on probation.
Brunswick County authorities began investigating the incident on Friday after receiving multiple calls about a video posted online that showed the women fighting about four days earlier in Sunset Harbor, according to the release from Sheriff John Ingram and District Attorney Jon David.
During an interview with detectives, Truett told police that she did not want to press charges in the incident. But after Truett was served with a warrant on Saturday, authorities said she sought warrants for simple assault against Evans and Maggard.
