Anarchists today broke away from one of the largest protests Britain has ever seen to bring chaos to the streets of London. The Ritz hotel and Fortnum & Mason were among the buildings targeted in the capital after groups of rampaging youths intent on spreading havoc left the mass anti-cuts demonstration. Around 500,000 activists and campaigners descended on London this morning to protest at the Government's drastic cuts programme. But while the main march and rally in Hyde Park, which was addressed by Labour leader Ed Miliband, remained peaceful, splinter groups of anarchists went wild. Scroll down for our video report Hundreds of activists - many wearing masks and hoods - disrupted traffic, set off fireworks and flares in the busiest areas of the city including Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Regent Street. Lightbulbs filled with ammonia and paintbombs were thrown at police as they desperately tried to keep the peace. Topshop and HSBC had their windows smashed, while paint and glass bottles were thrown at a Royal Bank of Scotland branch. I recall a re-run of MASH I saw where this uber right winger named Colonel Flagg... I don't know I'd call these Limey idiots anarchists. They seem to want higher taxes and more intrusive government. Hardly anarchy.
Well, [W.A-R.'s] got to do something for attention, his multiple personalities aren't speaking to him any more, and his imaginary friends keep finding excuses not to come over.
They are already one of the most highly taxed countries in the world????? Did you know they pay a tax just to watch TV????? It costs about $200 a year just for 1 color TV and about $70 a year for a B&W TV!!!!!! B&W TV....... God I haven't watched one of those in years...... not since I left there in 1983... Most homes don't even have an outside water faucet on it..... why? Because there "used" to be a tax on them too, and most houses are over 50+ years old...... There even "used" to be a tax on radios in cars....... You know why gasoline is over $9 a gallon???? Yep that's right taxes..... over 50% of the price per gallon of fuel is taxes....... Most people over there don't even own their own house, they either live in government provided "Council Housing" or in a house provided by the "Landowner" they work for.... It is easier to live on the "Dole" and just get cash side jobs periodically to make ends meet, than it is to actually have a job and pay the horrendus taxes.... less work, same amount of money.... I think what you mean is they want the "RICH" to be taxed "MORE" so they can stay on the "Dole".... Typical class warfare, sound familiar????? But hey that's socialism for you, works fine until you run out of everyone "elses" money!!!!! This article should be a learning experience for some people because it shows where this country is headed and it ain't pretty. So if you don't want to see the same thing here then I suggest you learn how to "VOTE CORRECTLY". Don't listen to or believe their lies........

I can think for myself and I have always felt Britain and Europe in general have their problems because they see government as the culmination of all human endeavor. They see government as the natural solution instead of the inherent problem. Feudalism is in their DNA.

I wasn't questioning that.... I was just throwing out some "Did you know" trivia... Those were just some things I learned while living there back in the early 80s. They are a lot like us if you really get right down to it, except for one thing!! They love their queen, and we hate our president!!!!
