Officials have released surveillance video of a woman who attacked an employee at a fast food restaurant because of her order. According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, 38-year-old Tara Lyons was seen on surveillance video going on the attack over an order at the Burger King located in the 4000 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderdale Lakes. The incident occurred on March 2, just past 7 a.m. "She thinks that someone has spit in her sandwich, so she goes to complain to the manager," said BSO's Dani Moschella. "The manager says, 'OK, I'll give you your money back.' It was $1.06. When the manager turns to go get the money, the woman, still enraged, throws the sandwich at her and hits her in the back." After Lyons threw her sandwich at the manager, the two women are seen arguing on the surveillance video. According to police, Lyons lost control. "The customer then tries to come over the counter. The manager, fearing for her own safety, pushes her back, and the customer falls on the floor. I think, at this point, she gets a cut on her head," said Moschella. Moschella said Lyons' rampage was still not over. "The customer still argues, of course, gets up and just starts going crazy," she said. "She starts throwing condiments and napkins. There is a coffee pot filled with coffee on the counter, and she pushes that over. She then tries to go around and to get in through the manager's door that's locked." Burger King Manager Janet Javis then calls police while two other employees deal with Lyons. Police then arrived on the scene and caught up with Lyons as she walked back over to nearby Florida Career College, where she attends class. Lyons was then questioned by police and taken to a nearby hospital to treat the cut on her face. She was then arrested. Lyons faces one charge of battery and burglary with assault, along with two charges of aggravated assault.
