Yep.... his administration's policies created the dry run rehearsal for the banking problems in Juniors that we are still reeling from today. Bankers uber alles!!! And Reagan also took your credit card interest deduction away. How do you like them apples?

And if you don't [stop Medicare] and I don't do it, one of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it once was like in America when men were free. Reagan's comments look pretty silly 40 years later, Medicare hasn't provided the results he predicted and is more popular than private health insurance. Even tea partiers want the government to "keep their hands off of my medicare."
Since January 3, 2011, Republicans have controlled the power of the purse.
I agree, his predictions sure didn't come true on that one. Someday I'm hoping the Republicans will come to realize he was just as flawed a human being as the rest of their politicians, and stop with the cultishness.
