Unions didn't just spontaneously spring up. They are a response to abuse. It isn't surprising that those who don't like regulation (no laws to break, no one goes to jail) don't like unions. Three cheers for rape and pillaging! In the world of calcon and his ilk - cops, firefighters - all are scum because they prove his ideology wrong. We used to have private fire fighters - they would show up and demand payment before they put out the fire. Sometimes you had competing fire fighting teams brawl on the street as to which one would put out the fire (and get paid).
It isn't surprising that those who don't like regulation (no laws to break, no one goes to jail) don't like unions. Oh they really do like regulation, but they only want the kind that benefits them and generally runs the smaller, pesky, fish out of town. Otherwise you wouldn't have all these lobbyists on forums trying to massage public opinion.
