Unions didn't just spontaneously spring up. They are a response to abuse. It isn't surprising that those who don't like regulation (no laws to break, no one goes to jail) don't like unions. In the world of calcon and his ilk - cops, firefighters - all are scum because they prove his ideology wrong. We used to have private fire fighters - they would show up and demand payment before they put out the fire. Sometimes you had competing fire fighting teams brawl on the street as to which one would put out the fire (and get paid).

That is the truth! A friend wanted to start a tour bus business in Reno. The three big guys in town promised to keep him tied up in lawsuits if he tried even though his proposed routes did not directly compete with theirs.
