Creationists develop models like these . . . by studying the facts of God’s Word and God’s world. In the beginning, the everlasting God spoke both time and the universe into existence. At first, the earth was without form and unfilled. Over three days, God gave form to the sky, sea, and land. Then, on the following three days, God filled these voids with abundant reminders of His glory. Included in the original material of creation was water, out of which God created the earth. This unique planet had just the right mix of chemicals and the right mass to hold a life-sustaining atmosphere. God then raised a landmass, similar to Rodinia (see below). As the waters rushed off the just-created continent, they scoured the surface and dumped trillions of tons of dirt at the edges of the continent, up to thirty miles deep. God created all sorts of bacteria to convert chemicals into useable forms and make them available to plants and animals. He stationed these bacteria in every corner of the globe, from the deepest parts of the crust to the sea and sky. God then filled the land with billions of energy factories, known as plants. From the first day of their existence, these plants were fully functional. In each plant hundreds of chemical processes ran in perfect symphony, harnessing the sun’s energy to provide food for living things. A bewildering variety of plants made up niches all over the earth. In the DNA of each “kind” of plant was a rich storehouse of instructions to produce a variety of offspring. For example, within the first grasses was information to produce wheat, rye, rice, bamboo, and fescue. By God’s command, the earth was bursting with ripe fruit and grains, ready to satisfy the needs of living things. On Day Four, God began the process of “filling” the universe. By His command a vast variety of astronomical objects burst into being, including comets, moons, planets, and stars. Each object was unique, beautiful, and fully functional. God placed the sun at just the right distance from earth to keep our planet warm. He set a moon in earth’s orbit with the right mass and distance for tides to cleanse the seas. As the earth spins, the sun and stars rise and set with clockwork precision, marking the passage of time for living things. At last, God was ready to introduce life into creation. He filled the ocean, sky, and land. Despite their differences, living things share many things in common—chemicals, genetic codes, and cell structures—to help them coexist in the same world. Such design shows the hand of a wise Designer. Like plants, animals were divided into “kinds” that can generate incredible variety. For example, the ancestors of the camel kind produced offspring as diverse as llamas, alpacas, and one-humped and two-humped camels. No living thing was alone. God placed them all into an astonishing array of fully functional communities, probably more diverse, beautiful, and integrated than anything we see today. Whether T. rex tromping through a cycad forest or trilobites swimming in shallow seas, each exotic environment reminds us how much living things depend on each other—and the Creator. God capped off this week by making humans in His likeness and giving us dominion over the earth. By the end, a beautiful tapestry of forms, colors, sounds, and tastes filled the earth. Communities lived in harmony, and all was “very good.” The stage was set for God’s most glorious work.

Why do you think the Chinese have pictures of Dragons everywhere? Why are Dragons depicted with Humans all over the earth. Then there is this from Gods word. Remember Job was from the East. King James Bible, Job 40:15-24 - "Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him. Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play. He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens. The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about. Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth. He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares."
This type of shark is very different from what we usually see. It has six gills and the body is like an eel, normally living under 600-1,000 meters deep in ocean. They have very long history of 50 million years, that’s why they are also called living fossil. The shark was in a very weak condition and died a few hours later.
What are these that these fishermen caught in the 1970's? Could it possibly be millions of years old? Figure 1. The Bible says the earth was flooded. Many cultures teach of a flood. Such as the Sumerians, although they have a different version, which they would as it was handed down verbally. Is there evidence that the earth was flooded. Well they found ruins of an ancient city on google earth Look for yourself cut and paste this into your google earth 31 15’15.53N 24 15’30 53W
Where creationists prove they are not serious is when they link their theory with the Judeo-Christian bible. Our existence may very well be a creation of some being in a simulation of some sort - lot's of weird stuff in the universe - but that does not mean the creator is the one mentioned in the bible. The fact that this post has statements like "God capped off this week by making humans in His likeness and giving us dominion over the earth" is just not a scientific statement.

The problem is your selective belief system. The bible to china to dragons. So let's go to the source. 6-8 000 years should be some fossils along side that ark. And I'll be needing those dragon fossils as well. And then we can move to the Chinese belief system and where dragons fit in. ;}

The earth was flooded. OK. So you're saying the Entire earth was flooded. And dinosaurs roamed Bethlehem or the area around Noah's Ark. And Noah took the baby dino T Rex into the ark.
And I have a problem with none of this. People can think what they want and good luck with Reality. It's when they start saying that the bible's as good as Title Insurance and so the bible gave me this land and authority over eveyone else is where I have the problem. ;}

Since it's an oral tradition without one shread of timely written (even though forms of writing were around in the proposed era) documentation, I believe the whole event qualifies as speculation. And I'll speculate it's a test to see how much weirdness a worshipper will endure to call themselves a believer.

I've been looking at some LF keywords. Found this spectacular thread and important reminder of yours. The sequence of the Lord's Creation in Six Days was/is amazing. Yet we don't often think about how incredibly complicated even a single cell is. I am reminded daily that The Lord's Creation speaks to His Glory in the simplest things. Like a dog's love and loyalty embedded in its very DNA; Or its innate sense to recognize our mood; And sense a good or bad vibration from another person. Science cannot explain this. Nor can DNA.
