Title: Gov. Walker admits to FOX's VAN SUSTEREN he thought of carrying out dirty tricks against Union protestors.

WALKER: I mean, I think it's interesting because the prankster there tried to insinuate at least that this person was going to push for people to come in and cause a disturbance amongst the protesters. I made it very clear that's not right. That's not -- that doesn't work. That adds no value.

VAN SUSTEREN: Well, you said you'd thought about it.

WALKER: Well, he did.

(CROSSTALK)

VAN SUSTEREN: ... in the transcript, when you brought up the part about, basically, dirty tricks in the crowd, you said, Well -- he says, You -- as least you're quoted as saying, "You know, well, the only problem with that, because we thought about that, the problem that my only gut reaction that is right now, the lawmakers I've talked to have just completely had it with them. The public is not really fond of this."

WALKER: Right. Because in the end, the protesters have not overwhelming. They realized they've come in from other states...

VAN SUSTEREN: But you thought about it.

WALKER: We do. We had people contact -- I'd had people -- I even had lawmakers and others suggesting riling things up. What I pointed out increasingly, and I've said it all over the media, I've said it in all my interviews, is that we've had a civil discourse amongst people here in the state of Wisconsin. My great fear is that people come from other states -- my biggest fear was last Saturday, when you had protesters both for and against the bill coming in. I thought you were going to have a major collision between the two. And thank God, we didn't have any disturbance. I think that's because the people of the state are the ones driving this.

Hey, Republicans - is this not why you don't trust govt? Is this not evidence of why we need strong non govt institutions to fight off the abuses of govt regardless of the party in power?

Is this not a reason why we should support strong unions as well as other non govt groups like the NRA?

I may not agree with the NRA or the ACLU or many other such organizations on everything but it does the nation good to have these groups able to stand up to the powers that be.

How can a govt distrusting conservative still support Walker and his machine after he blundered and spilled the beans about how he really operate behind the scenes?

Who said Republicans don't trust government? They "love" government when Republicans are in charge.

Since January 3, 2011, Republicans have controlled the power of the purse.

Based on how Walker was interviewed by Greta Van whatever - if I take a page from how Pravda worked in the old USSR and FOX works like that for the GOP - Walker was denounced by the official party - distanced as a failure.

She harped on the point that his bill is designed to bust the union - something the Walker backers used to ignore or not agree with - now because of Walker - who admitted this in the prank - they have to back away.

And Walker admitted dirty tricks were discussed.

So he is a dead man walking. He went from hero to zero in a week.

So you are in denial that the Democratic Party are Soros shills and sleaze or you just don't care.

Soros is open about what he supports. As far as can be seen he does what he does for the principal of the thing and not to benefit him financially (like decriminalizing pot - he has no hemp stocks, etc).

In any case it seems you are no longer denying that the GOP are Koch sucking whores - you just are OK with it because in your view the other side does it too. In other words you don't stand on principal.

You have no defense of this because there is none - just excuses.

Moron, thinking about doing something and doing something are not the same thing. But please, go on punching yourself out about how evil it was that Walker "did" this. Good for Walker!!!

Moron, thinking about doing something and doing something are not the same thing.

So al-Qaeda can think of planning attacks to disrupt democracy all they want ,,,,,,,

Walker clearly said he would have carried out false flags on the Union protestors if the situation merited such a response.

In other words, Walker is capable of dirty tricks and only discounts dirty tricks based on the pay off rather than the morality.

So you small govt and govt distrusting conservatives were just BS about that? I mean does not the fact Gov Walker casually stating he game played a false flag on his citizens not validate this ideology of mistrust of the power of govt???? But here you are defending this.

I am trying to figure out this self denial thing buy the Walker boosters on here. I am seeing people whose philosophy is that the govt does dirty tricks, govt power is a thing to fear, etc and we have this hint from Walker casually stating that he and his people thought about the idea of planting disruptors within the protestors thus violating their freedom of speech and assembly and they ignore or down play this.

That is why I left the GOP party and turned my back to the so called American conservative movement. This disconnect between their stated morality and ideology and their actual policies is beyond hypocritical.

That is why I think my points kind of throw them off balance.

If as small govt conservatives they don't trust the power of govt - then is it not a good thing there exists things like Unions to keep the govt in check?

We are no longer talking about $$$. The unions accepted the changes in benefits, etc. What is the at stake is collective bargaining which gives Unions such power and that is what is targeted by the govt and what is at stake here.

I figured it out in 1995 when I was at a Town Hall and, in an answer to a direct question by me, my rep told me that just because she campaigned on the Contract With America - yea I actually got suckered into that - it did not mean that she supported it.

She ignored my obvious follow-up and I got hissed into silence.

She knew me by sight from other local political events and always made it a point to say hello to me at such events. She totally ignored me this time.

A neighbor was one of her lawyers and he spoke with me and I remained polite but told him what a bullshit answer it was. She had campaigned on the Contract and then voted against a lot of it. Her answet when I asked why was "The Contract required that we bring these issues up for a vote. It did not mean that we supported them. Only that we supported a vote on them"

In 1996, that lawyer - who is still a neighbor of mine - ran for some State office and he asked me face to face for money and I said "No" and then he asked me if he could put a sign in my yard. I told him "No" to that as well. ROFLMAO...I thought that he was going to stroke out right in front of me.

When he could finally sputter a "Why?" I told him that I had changed my registration the day after that townhall meeting to "Other - Libertarian".

I was very happy when he brought his kids around Trick or Treating and I had two campaign signs in my yard...one his opponent the other her opponent. I almost said "Hey...I'm campaigning for them AND I'm voting for them." But I didn't. His kids were there.

I hate the GOP. My happiest day in years, politically, was election day 2008.
