Palin). The basis for the Alaska Permanent Fund is that the government argues that Alaska's resources are collectively owned by all citizens of the state, who are thus entitled to share in the profits generated by the use of those resources. Again, that's the clearest example of socialism in all these United States. You do know that coal and energy companies own most of Pennsylvania subsurface rights and there is no way they are relinquishing them with the various sales of surface ownership rights without a separate and often much more expensive transaction.
