AMLO is a threat to the US. If he tries anything to take power, kill him.
We don't need a Chavez on our southern border.

Thanks, I would like to hear what your in-laws have to say.
My husband and I lived in Mexico for a year and were thinking about staying but his retirement check was impossible to process through Mexican banks, in fact everything from renting to parking was an extreme problem, not to speak of telephone. You had to bribe everybody for everything.

To: squarebarb "La Mordida" is the eternal grease that makes Mexico work. It is a real shame that Mexico's political heritage did not include the Magna Carta, Rule of Law, protection of private property as in English Law. Instead they have institutionalized corruption. Just when you think things are getting better, more s--- happens. 23 posted on 07/31/2006 8:46:58 AM PDT by GeorgefromGeorgia [ Post Reply | Private Reply | To 16 | View Replies ]

No rule of law. No private property rights. I've visited Mexico lots of times but would never invest a nickle.

You see that Todd?
This isn't a battle between the "Right" and the "Left" No matter how much some people would like to make it so.. This is a battle between institutionalized corruption and a possible popular revolution at the hands of it's victims.
I think it's great.. Personally? I hope they take the place by force, kill those corrupt motherfuckers and take their country back.
The chances of that happening are slim, but I'd love it.
Go Obrador! Three cheers for the least corrupt, corrupt bastard in Mexico!
You mean the Hugo Chavez who sold discounted heating oil to poor Americans in the northeast, when their own politicians wouldn't lift a finger to help them?
You mean the popularly elected Hugo Chavez who's approval ratings tower over Dubya's?
