Title: Unions, Democrats Reject Civility in Wisconsin

Democratic lawmakers and unions in Wisconsin are rejecting the notion that civility is important in politics.

From WISN.com:

State Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald has ordered the Wisconsin State Patrol to round up Democratic state senators who did not show up when the Senate was called to session Thursday morning to vote on a bill stripping public employees of collective bargaining rights.

Republicans are pushing the bill proposed by Gov. Scott Walker. Thousands of people clogged the halls of the Statehouse for a third straight day in opposition.

Observers in the balcony shouted “Freedom! Democracy! Unions!” as Republicans tried to start debate.

Freedom, Democracy….Unions???

Governor Walker says “Bottom line, the state’s broke.”

But…they don’t care if the state goes broke, you see. That’s the problem here.

From Discover the Networks:

Because government workers get their money not from a free marketplace but from taxes, their unions have a large incentive to advocate on behalf of political leaders who support higher taxes and bigger government, which can, in turn, produce an ever-greater number of public-sector union jobs. As pollster Scott Rasmussen explained in the Wall Street Journal, “Public-sector workers want government to grow first, and the overall health of the economy isn’t as relevant to them.” This mindset translates into overwhelming public-sector union support for Democratic politicians who will block efforts to reduce government and to lower taxes. Indeed, public-sector union money constitutes the lifeblood of the Democratic Party.

And because union money is so important…Democrats in Wisconsin are going where the money is by not showing up for work.

Here they (the unions) are, in the video below, demanding basically, when it boils down, that the system go broke instead of their having to pay a 5.8% contribution to the pension fund…and most of them are paying nothing already….whereas most people who work pay more than 5.8%.

So its class warfare you GOP are playing at? Because the UNION workers get better benefits than the unionized wage slaves that means the Union workers should also take a pay cut?

FIGHT THE POWER!

The first thing tyrants do when taking power is not ban guns but rather ban independent labor unions.

Independent Labor unions are what brought down the Warsaw Pact.

PEOPLE POWER!!!!

What's the problem with these Union assholes contributing their fair share? They are government asshole sucking on the taxpayer teat.

Now, I know I’m not going to change the minds of any of the True Believers…those who read all of Reverend Al’s sermons, and say things like, “You know, global warming can mean warmer OR colder, wetter OR drier, cloudier OR sunnier, windier OR calmer, …”. Can I get an ‘amen’??

Unions have a right to organize under freedom of speech and assembly and they can negotiate as a collective with their employers.

They can protest all they want. They also need to take pay cuts. There is no reason that people who are struggling should be forced to pay for their benefits. We simply cannot afford it anymore. If they don't like it fire them all. I'm sure other qualified people would happily take their places.

If they did keep the right to collective bargaining. Any deals should be put to the voters to approve. The voters are their employers.

So we should keep paying them money even when there is no money. You liberals take the money from regular working folks to fund the union people who are much lazier then normal working people. Much lazier. I've witnessed all my life.

There is no budget crisis. The scumbag Republican in Wisc. wanted to give tax breaks to the wealthy and to do that he has to reduce state services. On top of that he is throwing a union busting move into the mix.

Go Wisconsin! Fight the power!!! Make those GOP pussies crap their pants at the sight of a real people's revolution.

So the governor wants the people who earn the money to have some for their own retirement plans instead of funding the unions and not being to fund their own?

I have no problem with them keeping collective bargaining. They still keep it under the governors plan. It just has to be approved by their employers. The voters. Why do you hate people voting?

- No one is being layed off.

- No one is being made to to take a pay cut

_ All the State is asking is that they contribute 8% to their health care bill and contribute part of their retirement

- Exceptionally reasonable requests

- And these asshole Union teachers who "care so much about the children" are lying and calling in sick because they think they are entitled to everything they demand

- The governor should do a Reagan ATC controller number on these goldbricks and start State hiring from scratch

So why not accept tax increases - you Republicans scream about that and it would be less money.
