MISSION - CHANNEL 5 NEWS is exposing what appears to be a Mexican military incursion into the United States. It was all caught on camera. We froze surveillance video taken at the Anzalduas International Bridge. What you see is the international boundary that separates the United States from Mexico and what authorities on this side of the border seem to think is a truck packed with armed men crossing into the United States. The video clearly shows a large military-transport vehicle drive north on the Anzalduas bridge over the international boundary. We counted at least a dozen armed men in the back of the truck. The vehicle travels down the bridge toward the U.S. Customs checkpoint. Its driver makes a U-turn just before reaching the lines of cars there. It then starts back south toward Mexico. The men pull over and search a vehicle for a few minutes then resume their trek south. The presumed soldiers then cross back over the boundary toward Mexico. They are in U.S. territory for about 10 minutes. We're taking a closer look at the vehicle they stopped on the bridge and what U.S. authorities have to say about this apparent incursion.

Heh, who knows how this happened and why, it is far better to not kill low level military people so quickly and with such extreme prejudice if this turns out to be a really dumb error. After all, we ourselves need the benefit of doubt extended us if say a U.S. military aircraft accidentally overflew and went down on Mexican soil. Interesting story, but I don't see this as not rating the use of a continuum of response that would rapidly escalate if it was indeed a 'Red Dawn' scenario.
Who the fuck cares? If your own government that you elect doesn't care, why should anyone else?
Looks like a diversion to attract attention to the truck, and away from the smuggling going on a short distance away. What they're smuggling is anybodies guess.

Yea, 'Red Dawn' was basically right wing paranoid porn. All their wet dreams about living in the mountians and being guerillas against a communist govt using their hunting rifles to fight back all right there on the silver screen.

I am for freedom. I get aggravated at any encroachment on freedom. As long as you are not hurting someone else, I think you should be pretty free to pursue your interests.
I doubt the modern conservative movement has any clue about the meaning of freedom or the conditions for it. I can tell nary a poster on these many right wing forums is versed in the Classics and they get their notion of what "freedom and liberty" means from talk show radio types.

I liked Red Dawn, saw it in Bend, OR just before I went back into the Army into Special Forces. They did a good job emulating Warsaw Block weapons and vehicles on a thin budget. Of course you know what a Wolverine is, it's a mustalid, same family as ferrets. My favorite scene was where the girl threw the satchel charge in the T- 55 tank and they chased her with intent to kill and the boys did the pop out of the covered ambush position and shot them up. That move was pure ferret.
