LEFT WING LOONS Title: How's Obama/NASA Muslim Outreace Program workin' out for us now? BEGIN TRANSCRIPT BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Now, a lot of people are saying, "Rush, the NASA guy could not possibly have meant it. He couldn't have meant it." Why? The NASA guy said it. What is so hard to believe about the NASA guy meaning it? Greetings, my friends, and welcome. It's El Rushbo behind the Golden EIB Microphone here at the Limbaugh Institute. It's last Wednesday on Al Jazeera in English’s Talk to Al Jazeera, host Imran Garda interviewed NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. Now, keep in mind here, folks -- oh, and wait 'til you hear what Obama said about Dependence Day on Sunday. You think that I am wrong when I tell you his mission is to return the nation's wealth to its, quote, unquote, rightful owners. Stand by. Now, remember what NASA has become under Obama. No longer about space exploration, we're going to ground the shuttle fleet, we're going to lease space for astronaut flight on Russian spacecraft. NASA has been told to focus on global warming, and now we have the NASA administrator on al-Jazeera last Wednesday who said this. BOLDEN: Before I became the NASA administrator he charged me with three things. One was he wanted me to help re-inspire children to want to get into science and math. He wanted me to expand our international relationships, and third and perhaps foremost, he wanted me to find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering. RUSH: Now, a lot of people are saying, "Rush, the guy really didn't mean it, he's just out there, this is just a bunch of pap for the al-Jazeera audience, didn't really mean it." Of course he meant it, and of course Obama said it. There's no question. Why would he say it if he didn't mean it? He certainly meant it for the Muslim audience and al-Jazeera. And, by the way, would somebody show me any Nobel prizes for math or science from the Muslim world? I'm going to get in a lot of trouble for this, but that's what we do here, we make the complex understandable, we deal with the truth. Most of these claims about Muslim contributions to science and math are myths. Even, folks, the so-called Arabic numbers were actually invented by the Hindus in 500 AD. I looked this up this weekend. It was even before there was such a thing as Islam. The Hindus created the so-called Arabic numerals and you can find this in Wikipedia if you want to believe it. Charles Bolden, NASA administrator, he was asked, "Why are you here in the region?" "Well, I'm here to spread the Muslim outreach." He said it, he meant it. "He couldn't possibly have meant this." He did mean it. BREAK TRANSCRIPT RUSH: I wonder, by the way, the NASA chief, do you think he will get orders from Obama to reach out to Christian and Jewish nations using NASA and recognize Christian and Jewish contributions to math and science? Don't hold your breath on that, folks, but it's just a question I'm asking. BREAK TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Here's a Rob in Montgomery, Alabama. Great to have you on the program, sir. CALLER: Yes, sir. How you doing today, sir? RUSH: Very well. CALLER: This is about the first article, the first thing you mentioned earlier about NASA and their new objectives. I just want to say, when you look at the NASA mission statement, it doesn't mention anything about extending a helping hand out to Islam, it's strictly improve life here, extend life there, find life beyond, and even their four core directorates have nothing to do with working towards building any kind of camaraderie or anything between other countries by reaching out to Islam, Muslim countries. RUSH: That's right. That's precisely why it's wrong. Obama is the new chief executive and all of America's wrong. The original mission statement of America is wrong. That's the Constitution, and that's under assault, too. Not just the initial mission statement of NASA. If he's going to run around and say that NASA's purpose now is to spread science and math understanding to Muslim countries and to recognize their contributions to math and science, then you can imagine what this bunch thinks of the Constitution. Does that mean you think Obama's NASA Muslim Outreach Program is working?
Anything that gets people away from fundamentalist religion and into scientific reasoning is a good idea. We should also have this program expanded to reach out to the religious crazies in America's heartland.
You must really hate the 1st Amendment.
I did not say ban religion did I? Why are you afraid of science and reason?
