President Barack Obama says the passion and dignity demonstrated by the people of Egypt has been an inspiration. He says young protesters will reach their destiny. In brief remarks at the White House Tuesday evening, the president said, "We hear your voices." Obama's remarks came after besieged Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak (HAHS'-nee moo-BAH'-rahk) announced he would not seek re-election after 30 years in power. Thousands of protesters in Cairo and other Egyptian cities are demanding that Mubarak step down immediately. Obama ignored a reporter's question about whether Mubarak should leave now instead of waiting for elections in September. The White House said Obama initiated a call to Mubarak Tuesday evening and the two spoke for 30 minutes.

I am amused at the slander video he posted that has no evidence Barack Obama is a member of a religion his Dad belongs to. My Mom and Dad were Christians, and I am definitely not one. No one should be labeled a member of a religion merely because his parent was of that faith, or because as a office holder, they have to respect and protect the rights of all religions in their country.

He was querying as to whether Stone -- who was criticizing how Muslims would want to make others follow their way of life and religion -- understood whether or not he was being hypocritical in this point. As this was likely how Muslims would view how Stone would feel it was his duty to witness and promote his religion. Stone is alarmed and disgusted when Islam promotes Islam, and some in Islam are alarmed and disgusted when Christians like Stone promotes his religion. It was meant to give Stone insight that how he looks at how Islam promotes their religion is simular as to how they would look at him and how he promotes his religion. It was a hypothetical situation, Murron. It was a post to promote enpathy and to encourage Stone to see the bias he expresses can work both ways.

When I started posting in 1995, I was college educated, and a horrible speller. I write so much these days I have build better comprehension, grammar and spelling skills than I have ever had. It compelled me to refresh then build on my abilities to read, write and speak in French and I am learning Spanish now.
