According to the White House spokesman, President Obama was not at the meeting, but will receive an update from his national security team later today. Obama spent the morning watching his daughter, Sasha, play basketball at the Jane E. Lawton Community Recreation Center in Chevy Chase, according to pool reports Barry watches Sasha play basketball!!)
The Middle East is in danger of going up in flames and Obama is too busy watching his daughter's basketball game to be bothered. You just can't make this stuff up folks. If we actually had a media that was not totally in the tank for Obama, this would be all over the news.

Don't worry about that. ;} ...Indeed, Obama's own response – about the need for reforms and an end to such violence – was an exact copy of all the lies Mubarak has been using to defend his regime for three decades. It was deeply amusing to Egyptians that Obama – in Cairo itself, after his election – had urged Arabs to grasp freedom and democracy. These aspirations disappeared entirely when he gave his tacit if uncomfortable support to the Egyptian president on Friday. The problem is the usual one: the lines of power and the lines of morality in Washington fail to intersect when US presidents have to deal with the Middle East. Moral leadership in America ceases to exist when the Arab and Israeli worlds have to be confronted..... So the "liberation" of Cairo – where, grimly, there came news last night of the looting of the Qasr al-Aini hospital – has yet to run its full course. The end may be clear. The tragedy is not over."

But really now, seriously (or even ultra-seriously): Can you imagine watching these astonishing events in Egypt unfold, and coming away feeling "depressed" and "fed up" because people were excited about it? Can you even fathom such a reaction? If not, then you, my friend, are no progressive. BWHAHAHAHAHAHA Remember those posts/threads on what it will take to get Americans into the streets? 30 years of Mubarak like rule should do it. BWHAHAHAHAHAHAH 8D
