In the topsy-turvy, Alice-in-Wonderland alternative universe of the tea party and its Republican toadies, small-government and free-market economic policy will save the nation from disaster. In fact, as thinking Americans know full well, the current economic crisis is largely due to the unmitigated greed of Wall Street banks and American homeowners, abetted for years by the "free market" nonsense that Reps. Paul Ryan and Michelle Bachmann continue to foist on the public. When the history of this era is written, it will be clear that the Obama administration's aggressive action saved the nation from a fate far worse than the current recession.

Actually, it won't matter at this point. It's like standing at the helm of the Titanic after it hit the iceberg... No matter "who's in charge," it's just too late. We WILL have a small government and free-market policy, and I think quite soon, because the government can only function as long as it can borrow money. When China and the rest of the world tells the Fed to go pound sand, the game will be over. Oh, I know... you and go56, as well as the dopey bimbo lucysmom, and especially the in-your-face commie "godwinson," you all think that big- government socialism will save the day! "The trouble with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money." -- Margaret Thatcher -- When a socialist government finally runs out of money, it essentially collapses. The parasites- no longer able to suck off the host population- have to go out and find real jobs. They have to become productive within society, or they'll starve. And a lot of them do. :) You WISH. It'll go down as another failed attempt at socialism, like the USSR. Of course, our example is FAR more dramatic, because we created and spread a financial virus around the world, and destroyed their economies as well... "Sovereign debt crisis" is gonna' be a term you're going to hear a LOT this year... COUNT on it.
