I can tolerate a fool that is young and teachable,but somebody living today that has been on the internet for years and years and STILL thinks socialism is the light of the future is nothing more than a fucking oxygen thief. They are either too stupid to cross the streets by themselves,or so greedy they don't give a damn what happens to the country as long as THEY get what THEY want. The ultimate "Fuck YOU,ME FIRST!" brand of thinking. I have no tolerance for these people and I make no apologies for not pretending they may have valid opinions. In fact,I now have very little tolerance for ANY dogmatic idiot that thinks there is such a thing as a political and economic system that is perfect in itself and doesn't borrow from other models. You can't discuss anything with these fools of either the self-proclaimed left or the self-proclaimed right without them being more concerned with scoring points than they are discussing reason. I have these fools on the left tell me my EARNED VA benefits are welfare in a lame attempt to defend welfare,and fools that claim they are from the right claiming that Social Security is what makes America a socialist state,and that it should be stopped immediately and no more money paid into it. Mostly because THEY think the money won't be there for them when THEY retire,and because THEY have private retirement plans and enough disposable income each week to pay into them. It's like these idiots are too stupid to realize that not EVERYBODY can or even SHOULD be a successful upper middle-class wage earner. We still need cooks,truck drivers,etc,etc,etc. The country won't function without workers to work these so-called "menial jobs" that don't pay much,and these people surely deserve to not have to go hungry and without medical care when they get too old to work anymore. After all,the work they performed their whole working lives was essential work that was needed in order to free up the time of the people who thing their own labors were "more valuable" so they could go out and earn 6 figure salaries. They are the mirror image of you lefties who resent anybody that you consider to be "rich",and want the government to punish them for their success. And,of course,you define "rich" as "anybody that earns 1 dollar a week more than Me!" And of course all these people are the true-believer partisan hacks from both branches of the ruling party. The same people that defended Boy Jorge when he was doing what the current traitor in the WH is doing now but slamming him for it,and their mirror-image buddies on the other side of the partisan argument that slammed the hell out of Boy Jorge for doing it,but now praising the current traitor for expanding Boy Jorges policies. Well said, sir. VERY well said. To my eternal shame, I voted for W. twice, before I figured out the system was completely rigged. I grew up.

Both result in no individual freedoms and police states in total control of the economy via a central bank. Ergo,they are the same. To paraphrase a famous quote,"A Nazi/communist is a Nazi/communist,by any other name." Both know what is best for you,and you had damn sure better listen if you want to keep your head. The REAL truth is both are nothing more than a return to feudalism,with Dukes,Princes,and Kings going by new titles. Mike,IMHO,most of them did it because they had bumped heads with me in the past on other forums,but felt safe in going after me on the People's Forum because they had strength in numbers there and felt sure others would flock to their defense and get me banned. They don't want to hear opposing ideas. They want the safe and comfy lies they are using to hearing. One of the most ludicrous posts I read there was somebody posting they were mostly conservatives that had been ran off other forums by radical right wingers. That was the equivalent of hearing Helen Thomas say she is a beauty queen.

I disagree, there is a profound difference between the two; as in Communism, the state has custodial control of everything, but in Fascism the state control. So, as I see it we are arguing over the difference between ownership and control. You seem to think they are two sides of the same coin, but Communism is more a socio-economic model that upholds an allegedly classless, stateless and egalitarian society. Fascism is more an ideology that works to bring together radical and authoritarian nationalism. I understand where you are going with your points about the two systems, but this is what I learned as a poli-sci major at The University of Oregon, which I know you would consider a left wing ideology training camp. Which you are welcome to do, but I learned to think freely there and was a student, not a pupil learning propaganda to regurgitate on command. ;-)

Socialism isn't a form of government so much as a public policy. They are socialist democracies. The concept of taxation and entitlement has ruined them and that is why you see them backing off it. "Christian democracy" is also a joke as applied there now. To start with, there is nothing about Christianity that deals with State policy, so the term was always an oxymoron. And now the policies are every bit secular in nature. The US is getting more socialist, too, and it will ruin the US, too if it continues.
