Friday night was Keith Olbermanns last day doing Countdown on MSNBC, and it would appear that most of America found out about it at around the same time Olbermann did. NBC Universals statement about Keiths seemingly sudden departure is here. The media blogosphere lit up like Olbermanns face when discussing arresting Cheney for war crimes when the news of his exit from MSNBC was announced.
Theres no reason for concern over at MSNBC though somebody there will probably be more than happy to pick up the slack when it comes to misogynistic bomb throwing.
Hot Air has lots of Olbermann updates for those keeping score at home.
Mediaite is reporting that MSNBC got rid of Olbermann for the same reason that proctologists retire: They got tired of dealing with
nevermind.
Commenters at HuffPo are pledging to never watch MSNBCs primetime shows again. Who says bipartisanship is dead?
Plenty on the left are also blaming Olbermanns exit on Comcast, but a glance at the political bent of Comcasts CEO should at least give that notion a moment of pause.
