In just a few weeks, the Chicago Bears (there’s a remote chance it will be the Green Bay Packers) will be playing in the Super Bowl against the New York Jets or the Pittsburgh Steelers. And you know what that means, a series of great commercials. But Fox has already rejected one 2011 Super Bowl ad from the website JesusHatesObama.com.
JesusHatesObama.com is a conservative comedy website. The add shows two bobble heads, one of Obama, and one of Jesus. Obama’s head bobbles idiotically, while Jesus stares on with disgust. Eventually, Obama falls into a fish tank.
It’s probably a good thing that this ad got pulled. Not because it was offensive, but because it wasn’t funny.
JesusHatesObama doesn’t really believe that Jesus, well, hates Obama. Here’s a message from their site:
“Do we really believe that Jesus hates Obama? Of course not! However, we do believe in freedom…as in the freedom to make fun of the Obama administration with novelty t-shirts…our products may be a joke but so are the policies of this administration.”
