I missed the memorial tonight, but caught some excerpts on the way home from work. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. This was no memorial. This was the left not letting a crisis go to waste. As I tuned in the radio, they were playing a clip of some indian chief-or somebody babbling on about himself, mother earth, medicine men and all kinds of other crap. Apparently, he teaches at the University of Arizona, and everytime he mentioned the school name, whoops and howls came from the seemingly drunken crowd. God only knows what he teaches there.
The glee club was just as boisterous for Janet Napolitano, who’s Homeland Security goons had the shooter tied to anti-Semitic, racist elements that turned out to be false. You’d never know it by the cheers from the crowd.
They even gave a shout out to Sheriff Dupnik, whose divisive rhetoric embodies what he accuses conservatives of promoting. They loved him though, and cheered him on as if he scored a basket in the waning moments of a basketball game. It sure seemed like a basketball game. Even Eric Holder, who was there for no reason, seeing his contempt for the state, was put on a left slanted pedestal. I have to mention this again: It was a memorial service for the victims of the shooting over the weekend.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but apparently, the White House planned this event. They even had t-shirts printed up for the pepsters in attendance. Together We Thrive was emblazoned across the front, and handed out to all in attendance. And after the indian chiefs, and Napolitano, and Arizona hating Holder, and dufus Dupnik had the crowd worked into a frenzy, the show was topped off by an appearance from Barry himself.
Obama read the speech that was prepared for him. I read it, and it seemed pretty conservative. What did you expect him to say? He can’t afford to alienate any more voters. Yeah, Obama-conservative. How did that happen? However, the planning of this memorial couldn’t have been worse. I can only imagine how the families of the victims felt in the playoff atmosphere. This should have been a small memorial reserved for those affected the most. Obama should have talked to them, not a bunch screaming punks that were there, not for the victims or their families, but for Obama and those in his universe. It was pretty clear. Had I been a family member of one of the victims, I would have walked out. That’s not the kind of environment you really want to be in while grieving. I’m sure some of you know what I’m talking about.
If Barack Obama planned on bringing the nation together tonight, he failed miserably. From what I heard and read, it was very inappropriate, and whether he planned it that way or not, became more about him than who it should have been about. Maybe it’s just me. Maybe I grieve in a different way. I couldn’t have sat through that, I’ll tell you that right now. Maybe the planners just dropped the ball and it didn’t turn out like it was supposed to. I can give them the benefit of the doubt without further information. Too bad. It looked like a classless act.
