All I could do when I heard the thunderous applause for President Obama and the wild cheers especially was to put myself in the shoes of a parent who lost a child. If that was a memorial service for my child, I can’t imagine feeling like the “woo”s from the audience were appropriate. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
