Only two days before Rep Gabrielle Giffords was shot in Arizona, a blogger at the left wing site Daily Kos criticized Rep Giffords. The liberal blogger lives in Giffords district in Arizona and had voted for her and supported her for election, but now was quite upset that Giffords had voted against Nancy Pelosi for Minority Leader. The blogger declared that Gabrielle Giffords was now "DEAD TO ME." Interesting choice of words. Did liberal assassin Jared Loughner read the Daily Kos post and internalize the headline as a suggestion to be taken literally?

Well, [war's] got to do something for attention, his multiple personalities aren't speaking to him any more, and his imaginary friends keep finding excuses not to come over.

I'm still amazed, after 2 years of painting Democrats as the "enemy" Republicans seem outraged when someone actually carries out an attack.
Come on Rud, JW, a Democrat got shot and three senior living on Medicare were killed, taking them off the public dole, you ought to be setting off fireworks to celebrate.
Since January 3, 2011, Republicans have controlled the power of the purse.

There seems to be a real disconnect between the words they use and what those words mean in real life.

Yeah, that blogger was so pissed off he said he'd never work for her campaign or vote for her again. Obviously, that's exactly the same as shooting her in the head to some people.

Oh of course "they" are silently rejoicing in their darkened and demented minds.
This is, after all, what "they" have been clamouring for for years. Ballot by bullet.
Never swear "allegiance" to anything other than the 'right to change your mind'!

The modern demonetization of political opponents started with the 64 election, where a sitting President (LBJ) won re-election by claiming his opponent would start a nuclear war and destroy the world. Of course, after the election the sitting President murdered 50,000 Americans and perhaps 1,000,000 Vietnamese in a nonsensical war that didn't benefit anyone.
Fast forward to Reagan in 1980 who was demonized as a war monger, idiot, and racist by "great" Senators like fat boy Teddy, who managed to stay in office even after he drove off a bridge and swam away while his date was drowning and then tried to cover it up the next day.
Let's not forget about Judge Bork, where fat boy Teddy took a leading role in saying the most hateful, vile things about this man that one could imagine.
The REAL problem with American politics is that it took the so-called "right" DECADES to match the vitriol and venom of the hateful left. Now that they have, the left can't stand the heat. Great, that tells me that it's time to turn up the heat.

I actually agreed with you until Bork.
But nothing you post excuses the vitriol we've seen out of the tea party over the last couple of years.

Wonder if they know about the Sovereign individual Movement hawaii'ing:

It is one thing to call someone a poopie head and something very different to make a violent threat against another's physical being.

Note he says vile and hateful things about the late Senator Kennedy as he laments allegedly hateful and vile things he attributes to this man.
That is telling in and of itself.
Good observation!
