Mother of 9-year-old: 'Stop the hatred' Roxanna Green, the mother of the 9-year-old killed during the mass shooting in Arizona on Saturday, has implored the country to "stop the violence, stop the hatred" that led to her daughter's violent death. In an emotional interview Sunday morning on MSNBC, Green spoke about how her daughter had been born on Sept. 11, 2001 and had been featured in a book called "Faces of Hope." Less than 24 hours after Christina Green died, her mother asked for people not to forget her daughter, the youngest victim in the shooting rampage. "I just want her memory to live on, she's a face of hope, a face of change," Roxanna Green told MSNBC. "Stop the violence, stop the hatred." Green said she initially thought her daughter had been hurt in a car accident when a family friend first called to say they were on their way to the hospital. But Christina had been shot in the chest, and doctors were unable to save her.

Democratic primary for Governor of Kansas, 1990 * Joan Finney: 81,250 (47.18%) Democratic primary for United States Senate, Kansas 1992 * Gloria O'Dell: 111,015 (69.20%) Democratic primary for Governor of Kansas, 1994 * Jim Slattery: 84,389 (53.02%) Democratic primary for Governor of Kansas, 1998 * Tom Sawyer: 88,248 (85.28%) He ran for Congress exactly one time, and lost badly. As you can see from the election results, he's not exactly a popular Democrat candidate. But keep tilting at windmills. The key to all this is going to be whether they find the other guy, and if he had any involvement in the shooting. I'm just going to sit back and wait for that.

Phelps is a disbarred lawyer, founder of the Phelps Chartered law firm, a past civil rights activist in Kansas, and a Democrat who has five times been a candidate for political office in Kansas Democratic Party primaries. He and his daughter, Shirley Phelps-Roper, are banned from entering the United Kingdom.
