Ariz. Congresswoman Giffords shot; Dad: 'Entire tea party' her enemy Arizona Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords was clinging to life after a gunman shot her in the head in front of an Arizona grocery store where she was holding a public event, authorities said. The three-term Democrat, who might have been shot at point blank range, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Tuscon where she was undergoing surgery, Reuters reported. Nine others, including a child, also seriously injured in the bloody shooting spree were also being treated there, according to reports. President Barack Obama said some are dead and Giffords was "gravely wounded." He called the shooting "an unspeakable tragedy" and that such "a senseless and terrible act of violence has no place in a free society. The congresswoman’s father Spencer Gifford, 75, was rushing to the hospital when asked if his 40-year-old daughter had any enemies. "Yeah," he told The Post. "The whole tea party." He added that politicians constantly faced danger. "They always get threat[ened]," Gifford cried. "We don’t really have any information. The Police department was supposed to call us but they didn’t." The congresswoman was chatting up a couple during her first "Congress in Your Corner" event at the Tuscon Safeway when the maniacal gunman fired a fusillade of bullets at the crowd, reports said. Giffords had excitedly promoted her event on Twitter. "My 1st Congress on Your Corner starts now," she wrote. "Please stop by to let me know what is on your mind or tweet me later." The gun-toting event crasher was tackled by a bystander and was taken into police custody, reports said. "I am horrified by the senseless attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and members of her staff," House Speaker John Boehner said in statement. "An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve. Acts and threats of violence against public officials have no place in our society. Our prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords, her staff, all who were injured, and their families. This is a sad day for our country." The 40-year-old representative, who held her seat since 2007, held strong positions on immigration – a Arizona flashpoint issue. It is yet unclear what motivated the shooter. Like many other democrats, Giffords was threatened after the passage of health care reform in March, when the door to her Tuscon office had been smashed.The congresswoman, who held her seat since 2007, was married to U.S. astronaut Mark Kelly. "Yeah," he told The Post. "The whole tea party." The "tea party" as a whole comes across as a group who loves liberty, our Constitution, and, America as defined by our Founding Fathers. Seems like you would have to be some kind of horrible person to be hated by "The whole tea party" enough to do something like this. I think this guy is an idiot for saying such a thing.

For the last forty years political violence is the route the left takes, Skivvy. And you know that to be a fact. Weathermen, SLA, even the killer of your beloved messiah, John Lennon was a lefty. You called the tune in Chicago and have been true to it ever since. Even your commie president Slick Willy murdered those people in Waco. Offensive Christians minding their own business was a killing threat to Little Willie and Janet Reno.

All you need to know now is that Sarah Palin has taken down her site and is scrubbing if of any images of targets and politicians. The loudest voices calling for violence now are on the right. It takes a lunatic to carry the violence out, since sane people realize there isn't much of a future in it, but it's the right screaming for blood. Look at the Tea Party pictures, listen to the loons on talk radio. Hell, just read what your pals over at LP post day in and day out.
But you align yourself with them, Skivvy. As far as calling for violence, Skivvy, you may be right. But those who resort to it are almost always lefties. Calling for violence is one thing and unjustifiable yet. Actually resorting to violence against elected officials is totally unjustified in this country and almost always the result of lefties taking the rhetoric to it's ultimate conclusion. I align myself with no one. I hate them all. I voted for Bush. Twice. I thought Clinton should have been impeached and that Janet Reno should have gone to jail over Waco. I don't care if you believe me or not. My complete and total disgust with the political system comes directly from his administration. Obama is nothing but an extension of Bush, which is why I don't understand why people like you hate him so much. He's done nothing that Bush wouldn't have done. All I want to do now is to save my ass from the crazies, and right now they're all on the right.

This Congresswoman was on the terrorist enabler Palin's cross hair list. She and the others were shot to futher the ends of right wing terrorists whop work in the Tea flea tent.
You would have to be insane to think Sarah Palin was putting out a contract on those candidates. The shooter was a far leftist. It doesn't add up, not that you care.
Palin, Rush, Beck, Coulter and Savage are all responsible for fanning the flames of hate and violence. This is the fruit of their violent, shrill, and hateful rhetoric. The Tea Terrorists will be the recipients of the blame, and this is fair. This act of terror is the fruit of their labor.

Typically, those who get to be the patsy has elements to them that are there to try to deflect the blame from those planning and executing an act of terror like this. I have no doubt lots of Tea terrorists are involved, and that we will see the primary planners of this terror turn up to be from that camp.

This was released because there was speculation he had been in the military. None the less, it is those on the right who typically try joining. I would not be surprised if it turns out this guy supported 'Promise Keepers.'
