Programme presenters Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond were shown trying to cross through Syria during their attempt to retrace the journey that the three wise men were reported to have taken during their journey to visit Jesus as per the story in the bible. The decision to don the Muslim wear was made after the two presenters realised that should they want to avoid the war zones during their journey they would have to pass into a country that had a poor history with Syria and so they opted to try to disguise themselves from anyone that they may pass during their journey. The stunt has left the Muslim community very upset about the decision to use Muslim religious wear and have begun to complain to the BBC after claiming that the show was “mocking their religion”. The complaints are based on the fact that the community feel that the move was a deliberate attempt to point fun at their religion and active Muslim activist Anjem Choudary has moved to say that it was not the location of the stunt that has brought the anger from the community but the fact that the programme opted to mock their religion in general. This is not the first time that presenter Jeremy Clarkson has been in trouble with the Muslim community either, earlier this year telling the show that he had seen a Muslim woman wearing sexy lingerie underneath her gown.
The BBC and Top Gear are once again in the media spotlight after their latest Christmas show, which was aired on Boxing Day, left the world in shock after two of the presenters decided that they would disguise themselves by wearing full burqas headdress as they crossed Syria.

Christian groups are also complaining over a few scenes in the show, especially one in which Clarkson suddenly believes he is Jesus Christ, their bringing of Frankincense, Gold, and a Nintendo DS to the baby Jesus, and the ending which I won't spoil.
