The Pentagon is looking into the possibility of Israel launching a strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. In the past months there were several working-level discussions trying to map out the possible scenarios for such an attack, according to administration sources who were briefed on these meetings.

The discussions, which were describes as intelligence-oriented and not policy- oriented, examined the likelihood of an Israeli pre-emptive attack against Iran and the method in which such an attack could be carried out. One of the main questions presented in these discussions was whether Israel would inform the US in advance in case such an attack is to take place and when would such an advance notice be given.

The sources pointed out that it is clear that Israel would have to coordinate with the US forces air control any attempt to fly over Iraq on the way to Iran, if Israel chooses to attack using the shortest route.

ISRAEL TO TAKE OUT IRAN FOR THE GOOD OF THE WORLD

    Soon to be breaking

LOL!

PS: I was laughing so hard earlier.. I forgot to mention this, but Israel can't "take out" Iran.. For their "good" or any other "good" They don't have the capability.

You can cheer and wave your pom-poms all you want, but facts are facts.. And fact is, the best they can hope for is superficial damage, which in all likelyhood won't even eliminate Iran's nuclear capability. Hell, we're not sure a US strike, nuclear or otherwise, can accomplish this.. Let alone Israel on it's own.

They couldn't do it even if they wanted to, todd.. The "gift" has failed you again. :(

Perhaps you should change that byline to "Breaking Never! This one line screamer post, proudly sponsored by TLBSHOW's imagination!"

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

On another point do you think Iran can take out Israel.

Do you think God himself would intervene if Israel was surrounded by her enemies and faced destruction?

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

What are they going to use to do it? They can nuke them, which may slow their nuclear program (or not) but they're definatley not going to be "out" my any means.. We're not even sure a US nuke strike can eliminate their program.

Further, this isn't a BS nation like Iraq which lost much of it's military capacity and then suffered over a decade of sanctions.

Could Iraq take out Israel? No.. Primarily, because we won't allow it.

Quite possibly.. but I don't know that he'd be bound to do so by any means.

Ok I hear you. I don't know the true capabilities of either side. So i don't know.

My main question was the third one. What is your opinion on it?

Quite possibly.. but I don't know that he'd be bound to do so by any means.

Just wondered what you thought. Because there is a time when God is going to intervene and save Israel. Is that what you see when you read the Bible?

Some people say they are not real jews there, therefore God wouldn't save them.

I don't know who is the good guys. I know I wouldn't want to side with the muslims for that is the path to Hell.

http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/786439.html

Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh suggested in comments published Friday that Israel might be forced to launch a military strike against Iran's nuclear program - the clearest statement yet of this possibility from a high-ranking Israeli official.

"I am not advocating an Israeli pre-emptive military action against Iran and I am aware of its possible repercussions," Sneh told The Jerusalem Post daily. "I consider it a last resort. But even the last resort is sometimes the only resort," he said.

Sneh's tough talk is the boldest to date by a high-ranking Israeli official. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and other leaders frequently discuss the Iranian threat in grave terms, but stop short of discussing military action against Tehran.

Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you may believe
