If ANY of the cats you kill are someone's pet, you should die a painful death. That would be like killing their child. Many pets are child -substitutes.

Three stunningly retarded comments in a row! Yup, still a retard.
One of my neighbors had your attitude. She trapped and had killed a cat that made a smell in her yard. And she KNEW who it belonged to.
The cat was owned by an 8 year old boy. His mother abandoned him at 2, and he lived with his father who had cancer. There was no other family, except for his father's step-sister.
His dad drove a cab when he was well enough. They lived in a tiny basement apartment in an old row house. They were dirt poor. The only thing that boy had in life was that cat.
He cried and cried for weeks when that cat went missing. When he found out it had been trapped and killed...it destroyed him. I could see his personality change - overnight.
When he was 13, his father died. He was sent to live with the aunt who didn't want him.
He went on a downward spiral after that cat was killed. That cat was his only comfort...for dealing with the stress of a dying father. It loved him, and he loved that cat. He had it for several years. Of course his father's death was a major part of it...but that cat the only comfort that child had. And that bitch took it away from him...because the smell annoyed her.
I hated that bitch from that day forward, and would do everything I could to annoy her. She lived on one side of me, and the boy lived on the other side. Being in the middle...I saw it all. I tried to do what I could to help him. His name was Gil.
I have a simple philosophy in life. You hurt me pets on purpose,I hurt you. You kill my pets on purpose,I kill you.
Right, wrong,or sideways. The one thing you need to understand for a absolute fact is I value their lives and well-being MUCH more than I value yours.

Want a pet that doesn't get killed? Be a good owner and take care of it. Keep it on your own property.
I do,but accidents happen. A cat can be spooked to jump outside a open door, for example.
You don't? It dies. Your fault.
You purposely kill my pet. You die. Your fault.

Same view here. We have five dogs currently, best alarm system in the world. To attack my wife and I, you have to deal with our dogs first. My view is going after the dogs is the first step to attacking us.
Doubt it will ever happen, but if it does, thats your ass.
Obama's first all-by-his-lonesome budget, btw, calls for a $1.17 trillion deficit.

Well dang pete, I'm not talking about wearing a six-gun slung low and "puttin' one between the eyes" of the first animal I see (completed by blowing the smoke from the end of the barrel followed by a right fancy twirl of the six-gun prior to jamming it into the holster and having a whiskey in a dirty glass to celebrate.)
We're talking problem animals here.
And the sheep will bleat their submission, Seeing the others as fools, Not knowing nor even caring, They've become no more than tools.
I completely understand. Crazy thing is, I started that thread and made it clear these are no one's pets, yet certain people went ballistic on me for "killing pets". It just sorts out who is emotionally so messed up they cannot think logically.
I came close to shooting my closest neighbors dogs twice. Once when I came out of my work shop and there was a 70 lb dog right outside the door growling at me and showing his teeth. I showed him my 44,and he hauled ass out of the yard. I will NOT shoot anybody's dog if I have any choice at all,but I will NOT allow either the dog or the owner to attack me in my own yard.
The second time two of his smaller dogs chased my cats into the yard and were trying to get at them. This neighbor is about a mile away. The cats were safe so I got on the phone and called him and told him he had better come get his dogs before I had to shoot the dogs and then shoot him for making me shoot the dogs. I made it REAL plain to him that having his dogs in my yard trying to kill my cats was NOT the right way to get on my good side, and haven't had any trouble with either him or his dogs since.
I do know people that shoot cats just for wandering into their yards, though. I had a local woman tell me she would kill any cat that came into her yard because she didn't want to see paw prints on the paint of her car. I tried to explain to her that paw prints in dust doesn't damage paint, but she didn't care. I then told her that she is damn lucky she isn't my neighbor because I would kill her for killing my cats.
IMHO the key point here is both you and your neighbor are both supposed to shoulder the burden of being a good neighbor. That means if you see a neighbors dog or cat doing something like digging a hole in your yard you are obligated to contact that neighbor and demand he or she do something to prevent this from happening in the future. If they don't,then you are morally free to take action.
That does NOT mean killing the animal is or even should be your first option. What's wrong with capturing the animal and taking to to a animal shelter as a stray so some responsible owner can adopt it? Chances are the negligent owner that was allowing it to run free won't even wonder where it went,so everybody wins that way.

I guess. I pulled it out with the intention of killing him if he attacked me,but he ran away when he saw it.
